Heh, heh...Isn't it funny how a thead can get so off-topic? ;D Jasmine is a good character. Aladdin is a good character. Iago is a good character. Jafar is a good character. Mozenrath is a good character. The Sultan is a good character. Genie is a good character. Abu is a good character. Sadira is a good character. They're all good characters! Yay!

Poor Rajah! I remember him in like four episodes. "Spice is Right", "Sultan Worth His Salt", "Sandswitch", and "Shadow of a Doubt".

Where is this going now Abu and Rajah are just background charackters... Just meant to "be cute"...

Not really. Rajah perhaps. But Abu is featured a lot (he's the only character other than Genie be be in all 87 episodes, including the cross over with Hercules). He doesn't count as background. He's on the same level with Xerxes.

But...without Abu, how could Aladdin have gotten Genie? He's not pointless! I mean, I don't love him or anything, but...

Well, I was refering more to his overall worth, but Abu's point there is impossible to deny. But after that? Not a heck of a lot.

..hmm. Xerxes is not as important as Abu, but we COULD survive without ABU, could we? I don't mean I don't hate him or anything..

but we COULD survive without ABU, could we? No, not really, as someone said before, abu is the one who got the lamp from jafar. so w/o him aladdin wouldn't of got his wishes.....

Yeah, but that's only one part of one movie in a series of three movies and an 86 (87) episode TV series. I mean, what if Abu hadn't gotten out of the Cave with Aladdin after saving the lamp? Would anything be changed? I mean, Ziggarock would have been devoured, but does that really matter?

What about Aladdin's "mode of transportation"? ...Okay, so that's maybe that's not a good reason...I suppose he is a little pointless, but then again, Aladdin kind of needed a best friend, right? I don't know why he picked a monkey or anything, though.

Once the series rolled around, Genie kinda took over the role of best friend. But I guess the series did need a direct animal foil for Iago, and besides, how else would they have introduced Amin Damoolah?
