I used to cry at movies all the time when I was a kid. I never cried at Aladdin, but I did cry at Beethoven.

I've never cried during an Aladdin film, but I have cried during Tarzan, Hunchback of Notre Dame, and Lion King. Of course, every time I cried was years after I saw the film the first time. Go figure.
The only recent film I cried at the first time I saw it (and times after the first one as well) was Return of the King.

I haven't ever cried during a film. I have with the Hey Arnold episodes of "The Journal" and "Parent's Day". I only tear up on Aladdin when Genie says, "No matter what anyone says, you'll always be a prince to me." And when he sets Genie free. Other than that, no major crying. I've teared up on Mulan too.

I've probably cried through a couple of movies, but the only one I can remember is AI: Artificial Intelligence. The ending was so sad... of course, that MIGHT have just been my eyes watering from staring at the screen for an unnesscairly long amout of time. (There were a lot of places that movie could have ended, and didn't. The actual ending was good, but seemed out of place.)
But I do see your point. If I only first saw Aladdin now, I probably would have cried at that scene too... as a little kid, that scene didn't really affect me. It was like, "Oh, he's falling off a cliff, but he'll be okay. Wile E. Coyote does it all the time." You don't really realize that Jafar wants Aladdin killed, you know?

I agree. This isn't Aladdin related, but when I saw HOND as a kid, I never got just how corrupted and evil Frollo was. The whole HOND experience changed for me as I grew up. Much, much more powerful as a teen that it was a child.

I recently watched HoND as well, after not seeing it for years... and the duet that Quasimodo and Frollo sings, talking about how he's deformed and a monster... That just tore me apart. I couldn't believe it. I wanted to kill Frollo (I almost typed Frodo XD) right there.
And then all the other stuff he does in the movie, like just sit and watch while Quasimodo is being ridiculed at the Festival... and how sadistically he talks about gypsies... ugh.

I find myself doing that all the time. ;D
I think my favorite Frollo moment - "Hellfire". And the next morning, "I was having a bit of trouble with the fire place". Awesome.

Yes, Frollo is an old, dirty jerk. But I too love the part where he is singing "Hellfire". I like it when he is singing and the guard comes in to tell him Esmerelda escaped the cathedral. He looks absolutely insane. He tells the guy to leave and then starts singing again. It was funny madness although that's a pretty powerful scene.

I cried during the second AND third movie. The first time I saw Return of Jafar (which was in fifth grade) I cried when Jafar died. And in the third movie when Iago flew away... (sniffles) I guess I am too obsessed with the villians.
