What did you think of the movie? I liked the story line and themes. It is very sober and complex for a animated film.In my mind, the film`s only flaw is it`s graphic violence. There was no need for so much blood shed.

I love it; it was one of the first things I saw that got me into anime. I'm not sure whether it or Spirited Away is my favorite thing by Miyazaki. ;D
If you like Mononoke, you should see Nausicaa, since they have very similar plots. (Is that out in the US yet or not? If not, it'll be pretty soon...)

It kicks butt!!! It's one of my favorite animated movies!!! But of course Aladdin is better. Aladdin is only after God, Family, and Marching Band.

Aladdin's after God, Marching Band, cheese, and Nintendo. That last part is, more specifically, Legend of Zelda. But yes. Mononoke is a GREAT movie. Spirited away totally deserved that Academy Award. ^_^ Finally, anime is getting recognized hugely! One of my favorite Miyazaki movies, however, is My Neighbor Totoro... just for the sheer bizarreness of it

I love Princess Mononoke! It was the first real anime I ever saw, and I loved it! I rushed out to buy it on DVD as soon as it came out. It's such a mature film, not what you'd expect from an animated movie. I really liked Spirited Away, too. They keep that fantasy-like feel, while keeping the tone very serious.
