If you had to pick your favorite Disney song of all time, what would it be, and why? This is really, really hard for me. It feels kind of weird to pick a really new song, but I think "I'm Still Here" from Treasure Planet might be my favorite. It works in the movie, it works out of the film as a stand along song, and I can apply it to things outside the movie and the message sticks (including KOT, which is always great for me) As for the "remixes" of Disney songs, my favorite comes from "The Best of Country Sing the Best of Disney" CD, and is "If I Never Knew You" from Pocahontas remixed by Hal Ketchum & Shelby Lynne. Love it, love it, love it!

If you had to pick your favorite Disney song of all time, what would it be, and why? This is really, really hard for me. It feels kind of weird to pick a really new song, but I think "I'm Still Here" from Treasure Planet might be my favorite. You really are my evil clone! I absolutely *love* that song. I've been looking around to the Treasure Planet Soundtrack for that song. I love the Goo Goo Dolls and they have probably my favorite song of all time "Iris" So, Johnny singing "I'm Still Here" just makes it even better. Now, as for my all-time favorite song. It could be real easy to tell everyone about my fav from Aladdin, but I am going to challenge myself. My favorite non-Aladdin all time favorite song is "Reflections" by Lea Salonga. (Not that abominable monster Christina) The song is just pure beauty in itself. When the movie came out about 6 years ago, I was moved by it. The song talked to me in so many ways. It's so universal. Everyone goes through a time in their lives where they have to figure out who they really are. I was 11about to turn 12 at the time of the movie and was about to hit that point where I had to figure out who I was. For one of my last major art projects in high school, we had to make masks. I made Mulan's face from the cover of the movie. Half of her face is dolled up and the other half is when she makes herself look like a man. The song and the movie is pure beauty. That is until Christina comes and screeches the beautiful harmonies away with her yelling. As for Disney remixes, I like the pop versions they sing for the soundtracks like Elton John-Circle of Life, Michael Bolton-Go The Distance, Vanessa Williams-Colors of the Wind, etc. As for REMIX remixes, I am almost ashamed to say it, but I love what that little girl group No Secrets did to "Once Upon A Dream." I don't know why, but it's so addictive. I also love with Smash Mouth did with "I Wanna Be Like You" from the Jungle Book. Rock on!

All time favorite Disney song... now that's a tough one! There's so many to choose from! Stuff from Aladdin would be kind of an obvious choice here, but aside from that film.... hmmm... I think I'd have to say "When You Wish Upon a Star" for tthe more traditional music. That whole "wishing" mentality is ingrained in my head, so that's sort of my theme song. A couple of years ago I was going to audition for Walt Disney World Entertainment, and the night before my audition, I actually DID see a shooting star, and wished on it... and passed the audition with flying colors the next day. So now that song has a very personal meaning to me - besides the fact that it's the embodiment of the whole Disney ideal! For remixes/covers, one of the ones I really love is called the "Disney Fantasy Medley" by Erich Kunzel and the Cincinatti Pops Orchestra. Its finale uses A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes, When You Wish Upon a Star, and Zip A Dee Doo Dah and it is soooo pretty. And park music is a beast all of its own. There, I'd have to say the "Fantasmic" finale, because that show holds a special place in my heart, and I can hear the music and picture the fireworks and the Mark Twain and Sorcerer Mickey in my head and it just brings back such great memories. -Kirsten
